Who's in the spotlight: Mai Larsen, Stampin Up Independent Demonstrator. " I am one of those rare people who love what they do and get to share what they love. And I love stamping!"
What she does: "I'm here to be your creative coach, give you fun project ideas, share special offers, and, of course, teach you about fantastic stamping products."
Why she does what she loves: "What I like the most about my business is that I get to be creative at all times. I share my creativity with other women and I enjoy seeing their faces when they realize how easy it is for them to make a card or stamping project. My favorite project is the Big Shot machine. There is so much we can do with it. I make a lot of marketing and promotional gifts with it. Basically, with the Big Shot machine we use die cuts to make a lot of our interesting projects. The things you can make are amazing. My parties are in my home and I don't call them parties, I call them classes. I like for women to come to my home and let their hair lose and make exciting projects. I have had women come to my home and tell me, you know I have never liked scrapbooking or any of these kinds of things, but after tonight "I love it". Hearing that gives me a great feeling that it inspires me to create more projects. I love the fact that I work directly from home, because all my classes are at my home. I let women come to my home and explore their creative side. My classes are so exciting and the women get excited about the projects. Prior to each class, the ladies preview the projects they will be working on and they try to figure out, how do I make that, and once they begin they are just amazed that they were able to make the project. They have even asked me if they could use my "Designed By" stamp, because they want to show their loved ones that they actually made the card or project. So, I get a sense of creative joy after each class."
